Hayley Grimes

Hayley Grimes is an American artist and choreographer currently based in Texas. Hayley attended Collin Community College where she graduated with an Associate in General Studies Degree in 2023. During her time at Collin, Hayley was a three-year member of the Collin College Dance Ensemble, under the direction of Tiffanee Arnold. She had opportunities such as performing at the American College Dance Association, performing with live music, and various guest choreographers while studying at CC. After graduating from Collin, Hayley transferred to Sam Houston State University, where she is currently working towards her Bachelor in Fine Arts in Dance. During her time at SHSU, Hayley has had the opportunity to perform in works choreographed by Travis Lake and Dionne Noble. Her most recent work, “Familiar Sunsets”, premiered at the Montague Dance Theater on March 27th-29th. Her work explored the emotional resonance of history, drawing connections between the past and present to highlight the cyclical nature of societal struggles. Grimes is interested in bridging personal and universal narratives, using movement, lighting, and sound to evoke deep introspection. As her time studying dance in higher education comes to an end, Grimes looks forward to exploring, learning, and jumping at opportunities that come her way.
